Mick Clark
Vastly experienced goalkeeper who has played for a host of clubs at a higher level. Recently completed his 100th game for the club and is now in his 4th season at Emley.
Lewis Rhodes
Lewis is a goalkeeper who will look to challenge Mick Clark for the green jersey this season. Son of former Emley FC keeper Andy.
Max Joice
A tough tackling player who always gives 100% for the club and his team mates. Max was originally a midfielder but become established at right back. Also an accomplished cricketer.
Anthony Leech
Can operate at both left and right back. A no nonsense player who has firmly established himself in the side over the last three seasons and appointed vice-captain in pre-season Previously with Curzon Ashton.
Sean Hazelden
With over a hundred games under his belt for the club Sean has been a regular at centre half over the last 4 seasons and rarely misses a game. Vastly experienced having played at Bangor City, Ossett Albion and Glossop North End. Whilst at Bangor Sean had the honour of playing in the UEFA Cup. Players player of the year last season.
Judd Colley
Athletic central defender who has added stability to the defence since signing from Staveley this season. Appointed captain of the side under new manager Darren Hepworth who praises his contribution both on and off the field. Supporters player of the year in his first season at the club.
Nathan Tayo
Left back signed by Darren Hepworth in November and quickly established himself in the starting line up. Has experience at a higher level with Curzon Ashton.
Jamie Arundel
Signed on the eve of the new season Jamie is a young centre half who has a bright future in the game. Has been on the books of Blackburn Rovers.
Ian Brock
Recent signing Ian, has experience with Wakefield FC and Eccleshill United. Can play at centre half or full back.
John Cyrus
Athletic player who combines height with ability. Likely to get his chance in the first team this season after impressing for the reserves. Able to play in centre half or midfield. Also a talented basketball player.
Marc Townsend
Midfielder who is not afraid to get involved in the penalty area. Marc signed for the club midway through the 2008 season from Wakefield having previously on the books of Ossett Albion. A real club man who is always willing to help out with the reserve team.
Mark Stuart
Popular midfielder who returned to the club last season after a brief spell at Eccleshill with former manager Ian Banks. Likes to get forward and has weighed in with some important goals.
Joe Washington
Ex-Huddersfield Town Junior who has been with AFC Emley since their formation 6 years ago but has missed large chunks through injury. Returned to the first team squad last year after some impressive performances for the reserves. Can play in either midfield or defence.
Brad Dowling
Left sided player who is equally comfortable at full back or on the wing. An ex-Huddersfield University captain who has made the step up from the reserve team last season.
Tom Bucknall
Reserve team captain and a talented midfielder who made a promising first appearance in the recent victory over Winterton Rangers.
Josh Ingham
A young midfield prospect who is tough in the tackle but also has excellent distribution. Returned to the club after a spell at Kirkburton and making his presence felt with some match winning performances.
Mick Amos
Mick is now in his 3rd season at the club but missed most of last year with injury. Signed as a striker but also finding a niche in midfield. Has represented the Police Force at both football and rugby league.
Steven Kenworthy
Tricky centre forward who has been leading scorer for the last 3 seasons. "Kenny" was previously on Wakefield's books and a Huddersfield Town Junior. Chairman’s player of the year last season. Has opted to stay at Emley despite the advances of much larger clubs. Bagged 29 goals last year including 6 in one game.
David Heagney
Signed over the summer, “Eggers” is a skilful attacking player who was previously on the books of Huddersfield Town and St. Johnston but saw his professional career blighted by injuries.
Scott Holt
Scott signed for the club in pre season and has impressed with his pace and eye for goal. Can operate out wide or up front. Experience with a number of clubs in the North West including FC Unite, Mossley and Abbey Hey.
Matt Kilner
Signed from WRCL side Bay Athletic and looking to test himself at a higher level. Can play in attack or midfield – in the Dennis Bergkamp mould according to our manager.
Curtis Roberts
Skilful wide player who made the step up from reserve side last season. Proved himself to be a real impact player when coming on from the bench. Highly regarded by manager Darren Hepworth.
