Campion preview

By Martin Eastwood

Double header awaits

After a dramatic 8 goal home opener, AFC Emley travel to Bradford to take on Campion on Saturday,3PM, the first game of a double header that sees Campion come to Emley next Wednesday, the 15th August at 7.45 for the "return leg"
Both teams recorded opening day wins, Emley, 2-1 at Armthorpe and Campion with a 2-0 success at Dronfield town, while both teams were involved on thrilling goal fests on Wednesday, Emley with that 4-4 at home to Selby Town, and Campion went down 3-2 away at Worsbrough Bridge, going 2-0 down early on before getting the equaliser halfway through the 2nd half, only to end up conceding again.
This will be Campion's first home game of the season after 2 away wins and they will be hoping to be the first team to beat Emley this season, who will have Dan Stocker unavailable after his red card at Armthorpe.
If last season's game is anything to go by, it will be a treat, Emley, coming from 0-2 down to win 3-2, although Campion gained revenge with a 2-0 success at the Fantastic Media Welfare ground, so it could be another goal fest going by the previous encounters!
