First Team Management.

 

Manager: Darren Hepworth.

boxDarren is a local lad, who has played in the Emley Claret and Blue. Taking charge of the reformed reserve side for the 2009 - 2010 season.

His first season in charge was extremely successful, not only claiming the first silverware for the club, winning the Division 2 League Cup with a 2 - 0 win over Rawdon Old Boy's. But finishing a respectable 3 in the Division.

Having demonstrated that he can develop players who can make the step up into the first team. With additional clubs added to NCEL First Division, the availability of competent reserves will be ever more important as the season wears on. Darren's philosophy is to play entertaining football that people will want to watch. He certainly knows what the Emley Faithful require.

Darren made the step up to manager following the departure of John Hayden. With Darren Bland leaving in late November Darren has caretaker responsibility for the Club.

First Team Coach: Roly Lanes.

Roly joined AFC Emley at the start of September 2011 when Micky Reid stepped down due to work commitments. Roly has vast experience of football at this level, he has been assistant manager at Hemsworth for two seasons after leaving the managers role at Pontefract. 

 

 

 

First Team Coach: John Mason.

There are many people at AFC Emley who can genuinely say that they have been a supporter of the club for all their lives. The Mason family have been an ever constant at the Welfare ground and John is described by Hepworth as a true football man.

Reserve Team Management.

 

Managers: Nicky Bramald & Ray Dennis.

Nicky is one of the Founding Members of the new club having also featured as a very successful player with Emley AFC. Part of the FA Vase final Nicky remains a firm favorite with all the club supporters.

Nicky took joint charge of the first team with Ray Dennis, taking the club from the West Yorkshire League into the Northern Counties East League.

He is one of the many hard working committee members.

 

Ray Dennis:

Anyone who has watched Emley in the last 35 years knows who Ray is. A goalkeeper of rare talent, holding the club record for appearences at that position he commanded his area like no other. Ray is a firm favourite of the club and part of the founding members of AFC Emley, he has recently returned to the club having worked at Wakefield FC as a goal keeping coach.
